This will come as a relief to those of you who wear artificial finger nails or toenails. There has been no case of anyone having acrylic nail fungus, because it does not exist. The fungi affects your real nails not your fake one.

Some people wear fake nails to make their nails look better or to even try and hide their nails that have been infected with fungi. Using fake nails it not a cure for the problem, in fact it will make it worse if you do not treat it properly and quickly.

If you wear fake toenail because your toes are infected the best thing you can do is remove those fake nail, trim your real nails as far back as possible and begin your treatment. You know it is going to be ugly, but you have to do it. It is better you deal with the ugliness and stink in order for your nails to get better.

Don’t think for one minute that just because you removed the fake nails that the toenail fungus is going to just go away all by itself because it won’t. Visit your doctor if you feel you have a toe nail fungus infection so you can find out what is the best treatment for you.

Prescription medication can be real expensive and very dangerous to your health. They are some side effects that you must be a ware of, such as, liver failure and heart failure.

There are some less expensive ways for you to cure your toenail fungus or your artificial nail fungus. One way is to use a natural toe nail fungus treatment for fighting the fungi.

These product have the ingredients that are in plants, which the plants use to fight off fungi. The oils that are in these plants are used as a treatment for fungal nail infection and have a very high success rate in curing toe nail fungus and fingernail fungus.

Tea tree oil is very helpful in the fight against nail fungus because it has the anti fungal properties that you need to treat toe fungus. Be sure the product you choose contains tea tree oil.

In order for the treatment you select to work it must reach down to the core of the toe nail where the fungus lives. If you think you have acrylic nail fungus or artificial nail fungus it is best to remove the fake nail so you can treat the fungus correctly. See your doctor, find a treatment, follow the directions, and be cured of toe nail fungus.

Do you live every day with thick, ugly, discolored, misshapen nails (fingers or toes) that you’re embarrassed to show in public? You can’t leave the house without covering them up! You deserve to walk barefoot without worry. You deserve to no longer feel ashamed. You deserve to get your life back and now you can with Zetaclear. Zetaclear Will Kill Toenail Fungus.

Have a great day!

Beautiful nails have been an obsession that can be traced back to the ancient Chinese. It has been said that the Mandarins (males & females) considered long nails to be a sign of wealth. If you had two-inch talons, that was a sign that there was no way you could be a common working laborer. These days anyone can have well cared for hands and nails without spending a mild fortune and still be able to show off your own personal touch of style.

In this article: acrylic nails means, acrylic, gels, silk wrapped, fiberglass. Just makes it simpler to speak of all these different types as acrylic.

Acrylic nails or keep your nails natural? – This all depends on how you care for your nails and if you have the time to get your nails manicured and filled every two weeks. Because of the cost not everyone can really afford having their nails done every two weeks. Many who take care of their own nails do self manicures every week and their nails look just as wonderful as those who choose acrylics.

Acrylic nails have come along way. You can get a French manicure done and change the tip color (part that is normally white) from white to any color in the rainbow with glitter if you like!

The good news about acrylic nails depending on where you get them done, they can look just as if it was your own natural nails! The type of acrylic nails that look the most like your own is called “Pink and White”. The way this works is the pink is the base part of your nail. You can receive a pink that closest to your own. Your nail tech will be able to show you all your choices. “Pink and White” will cost you a bit more and they are worth the money if you just want nails that look just like your own.

Please note that you don’t have to get the square shape nail tip! Besides it doesn’t look all that natural and if you want nails that look best, they need to be the same shape as your nails are now. “Pink and White” will really look like yours only better! Your nail tip needs to be oval but just a little bit square. This looks more like your own natural nail shape. “Pink and White” are great for those who do not want to wear nail polish due to job or personal choice. Easy to care for, look amazing on all skin tones.

As with all types of acrylics, your own nail will be come softer. As long as you wear acrylics that point doesn’t matter. Remember this point also, your nail tech when using the drill on your nail base should never cause you pain! If they do, get a new nail tech! Having your nails done is not something that should be painful!

Another rare problem that could happen, you can get a fungal infection on the base of your nail. If you acrylic nails and they lift, you can get water trapped under the acrylic next to your nail. The water will turn green and can strain your nail. This is something that happens very rarely, if you have a good nail tech this it won’t happen. If this was to happen you would have to have your acrylic nails removed till it clears up. It is just something to think about.

When you visit a nail salon for the first time, take the time to ask questions. Watch how the nail techs talk with each other. If they speak another language and this bothers you, then that may not be where you want to get your nails done at. Also take into account the cost of having them done every two weeks including the cost of the first set.

Doing your nails or having your nails done for you, remember this point. Beautiful nails will never go out of style!

They’re just from a few different sites I’ve been surfing lately that are generally good for information like this…

How To Remove Acrylic Nails Guide | Nails & Manicure Guides …

… looking even without nail tips and the best way for nail enhancement. Also, if you are allergic to those strong smelling chemicals which you can experience with acrylic nails, then you should use gel nails as these are odorless. …

Hope you enjoy the read as much as I did and please if you have something to say, use the comments form below to let everyone know your thoughts.

Have a great day!

The first ten steps in preparing to apply acrylic nails are the most important as these steps will determine success or failure:

1. Clean your hands and spray with anti-bac.

2. Push the cuticles back with an orangewood sticks/cuticle sticks.

3. Lightly buff the shine off the nail with a 100/180 grit file.

4. Apply the tip. Ensure you have selected the correct size for each nail, do this first and lay them out from large to small for each nail. Cut the tip to the desired length.

5. Run line eliminator across the seamline of each tip and blend with a file.

6. Gently buff the shine off the tip (do not do this if you are using airbrushed or tips with a design, only do this for natural coloured tips).

7. Remove all the dust from your nails with a nail brush.

8. Spray the nail again with Anti-Bac spray.

9. Apply Nail Prep to the natural part of the nail – this removes the excess oils from the nail plate. Allow to thoroughly dry.

10. Apply a dab of Primer to the centre of each nail on the natural nail part. Be careful not to get this on the cuticles and only a sparingly small amount is required. Allow to dry thoroughly. The primer sets down the chemical base for the acrylic to adhere to.

You are now ready to apply the acrylic:

1. Put a small amount of monomer (acrylic liquid) into a Glass dappen dish.

2. Dip the brush in about 2/3rds of the way into the monomer in the dish. Wipe the brush on the sides of the dappen to remove the excess liquid.

3. Drag the brush across the surface of the powder forming a medium ball.

4. Allow the liquid to absorb into the ball until a medium-wet consistency is achieved.

5. You are going to divide the nail into 3 parts to apply the acrylic, the top part = area 1, the middle = area 2, the edge of the nail = part 3. Apply the ball to area 1 being careful not to get any acrylic on the cuticle area (if you do this will eventually lead to lifting). Gently press the ball down and smooth out using the brush.

6. Repeat this process with areas 2 and 3, blending each area with the previous area and stroking downwards.

7. Apply one more thin layer over the entire nail.

8. Using the 100/180 file, shape the nail and using the 180 grit side of the file blend the acrylic down into the cuticle area.

9. Remove the dust with a nail brush.

10. Apply cuticle oil and rub into the cuticles.

11. Wash hands.

12. Apply two coats of a good quality top coat to seal.

There is one warning, when you purchase acrylic liquid be sure to ask the supplier if it is free of MMA. MMA is a harmful chemical which is banned in the USA because of the health risks it can cause. MMA also sets the acrylic compound too hard and this will damage your nail.

Let us face the harsh truth. Not everyone possesses beautiful nails and yet everyone wishes that they possessed the best pair of nails in the world. It is a fact that cracked and unshapely nails spoil the beauty of otherwise blemishless fingers. Regardless of the fact that you possess fingers, the beauty of the same gets blemished if you do not have perfectly shaped and manicured nails. If you are faced with such problems, you can make do by opting for acrylic nails.

The junk food that most of consume hardly contain calcium content which is essential for the growth and the health of our bones. Our fingernails require calcium to maintain proper growth and achieve a strong hardness. However, there is no need for you to worry if you do not possess the perfect pair of nails. You can always hide your split and chipped nails with acrylic nails that come in various hues and sizes. Quite a number of us have the habit of nibbling away at our fingernails, splitting their edges and giving them an unsightly look.

Then there are some who do not clip their nails properly, causing improper growth of their nails. This also results in malformed nails with some of them having sharp edges. There is one more set of persons who wish to sport long nails, but dare not grow their natural nails out of the fear that they might break. This problem is faced especially by those who do jobs that require lots of manual labor. This apart there is the fact that one just cannot afford to have long nails if they are working since long nails prohibit them from doing their work properly.

Try typing with a long set of nails and you will understand what is being meant. However, when you visit the party, don’t you wish to flaunt a long pair of nails? This is extremely easy if you opt in for acrylic nails. Though gel nails are also available, people opt in for the acrylic ones because of their simplicity of use. There is one drawback with the acrylic ones compared to the gel ones and that is that they shine less. Other things apart the acrylic version of artificial nails are simple to use and can be fixed easily by yourself in case they get broken.

Also one does not have to file them off if they want to remove them. Also, acrylic nails are quite strong and last for a long time if you take proper care of them. However, like with all other things in life, these nails have their cons too. These nails made out of acrylic can cause more damage to your real nails than the gel ones and they do not provide as natural a look as the gel ones. The worst thing that one can do is trying to remove these nails by themselves. Always seek the help of a professional to do the task.

Beautiful nails are a desired enhancement to feminine beauty, but many ladies may have trouble attaining them. If nature did not bless you with wonderfully strong, healthy nails, you can still enjoy the glamorous look that long and painted nails can give you. All you have to do is apply strong and durable acrylic nails over your own nails.

You can find a service for acrylic nail application at nail salons. It is an expensive option. It is not as expensive for you to apply the acrylic nails yourself. By following instructions and with practice, you can apply your acrylic nails with the same care and great results that you can get from a nail professional.

As for supplies, you will need non-acetone nail polish remover, artificial nail tips, liquid acrylic, powdered acrylic and nail oil. Your equipment needs to include a nail brush, nail files, nail filing block, acrylic nipper, small acrylic brush and a working dish for the acrylic liquid. Choose acrylic nail tips that are the same size as your own nails or you will have to file the nails down.

Give your nails a manicure. Smooth rough edges and remove dead skin. Use a non-acetone nail polish remover to remove nail polish and acrylic. Use the filing block to roughen your nail surfaces. Cut the nails to the skin portion. Do not injure yourself. You want to prevent your nail from being broken if the acrylic nail tip is broken.

Line up your acrylic nail tips so that you can reach them easily when you are ready to put a drop of glue on the tip. The glue drop should reach from the bottom of the nail to the indentation where your nail’s edge will fit in. You can remove a crooked acrylic nail by immediately soaking it in water.

Use the acrylic nippers or a large nail clipper to trim the tips to your desired length. Use the nail file to remove any rough edges and to even out the lengths of your nail tips. Use the liquid acrylic in a well-ventilated area. You will paint the liquid acrylic on to your nails so that the beds will be smooth without any bumps where the edge of the acrylic nail tips rests on your nail.

You will be dipping the acrylic brush into the liquid acrylic and then into the acrylic powder that will create a ball of thickened acrylic on your brush. Paint the acrylic onto your nail so that you can create a smooth finish for your acrylic nail tips.

Have the acrylic powder container open. Prepare the acrylic brush by dipping the brush into the liquid acrylic and then wiping it on a paper towel to remove excess liquid. Then lightly dip half of the brush into the liquid acrylic and then remove the excess by wiping against the inside of the liquid acrylic bottle.

You are ready to dip the brush tip into the acrylic powder. When you do, you will create a ball of thickened acrylic. It should be damp instead of wet. Paint this thickened acrylic where the acrylic nail tip is on your nail. Work quickly to spread the acrylic onto your nail surface without flattening the acrylic. Wipe the brush on the paper towel to remove any excess acrylic.

Continue working until you have built up the surface to resemble the curve of your own nail bed. Apply a bit at the tip of the nail to create a natural look as necessary. Avoid getting acrylic on your cuticles because mould or fungus could grow under the nail at that spot.

It will take about ten minutes for your nails to dry and set. You can safely use a grit nail file on the sides of the dried and set nails and close to the cuticle bed to shape your nails. Use the filing block to smooth your nails. Remove any acrylic filings and dust by washing with soapy water and using a brush. The exposure to the harsh chemicals requires that you moisturise your nails with nail oil. As your nails grow out, you will need to paint more acrylic on to your nails every two weeks.

Back with more news for you today. It’s amazing how much good information there is on this stuff out there if you know where to look. Three in particular that I found really valuable were…

Trim the nails to the skin so that natural nails won't come off when acrylic nail chips. Next, apply a drop of glue on the acrylic nails tips and the edge of the nail where the tip is to be glued. If you applied it incorrectly, …

I am a fully qualified beauty & holistic therapist and would like to start offering nail extensions. I have just been on a 2 day gel/acrylic nail. … Rolleyes Gel/Acrylic Nails???? – Today, 12:09 PM … I am now totally confused with which system to use and what is the best to offer.
It's quite uncommon for acrylic nails to cause serious health injuries. That depends on the technicians that carefully and properly sterilize the instruments. But there is still cause for concern. Some dermatologists reveal four dangers …

Acrylic nails are basically false nails that are applied onto one’s real nails, with the help of some sort of enhancement material such as acrylic. They are considered to be very safe, provided the process is performed by a professional, who is aware of the latest techniques and methods.

Many a times, people who go for acrylic nails face a number of problems when it comes to removing the nails, once they have served their purpose. It is very important to be aware of the correct way to remove the acrylic nails; otherwise there is a possibility that one may severely damage his real nails.

A very popular, cheap and effective way of removing the acrylic nails is to use acetone. One must buy pure acetone, which is easily available from any store that sells regular nail polish remover. The nails should then be clipped as far as possible. Now the elaborate method is as follows. Take some aluminum foil and cut it into squares. Now, wet the cotton balls with acetone, lay it on the nail and cover it as tightly as possible with the aluminum foil. Repeat the procedure for all 10 nails or do one hand at a time. Do not open the foil for at least 20 minutes. Once the time elapses, remove the foils one at a time and with a wood pusher or orange wood stick scrape the acrylic off. Ideally it should come right off, however the process can be repeated if there are some traces left. Another way of removing the nails using acetones is to soak the hands in warm water for some time. Then soak them in acetone and the acrylic nails will then become soft and easily remove.

It is very important to remember that once the entire process is over, one should massage the hand with a good hand cream as the acetone can thoroughly dry the skin.

Nail art has gone way ahead beyond the conventional method of only applying nail paint. Now, you literally don’t need to possess a good set of nails to beautify them because now there’s the option of gel nails and acrylic nails. Both look so beautiful and so real that most would not even be able to make out the difference. Artificial nails are found in abundance, are not that expensive and can be easily applied onto your nails. Most professional nail salons are apt at creating beautiful nails by using the artificial ones especially on special occasions, festivals or even on weddings, where the demand for these artificially enhanced nails can be easily gauged.

Though most nail salons give you the option to choose between acrylic or gel nails, however, it is always useful to know which may suit your nails more and will work for a longer period of time.

Both gel and acrylic nails are equally popular, though acrylic nails are being used for a much longer period than gel nails. The basic difference in both is their forms. Gel nails are obviously in gel form and are made from a pre-mixed polymer and monomer gel, which is applied to the nails and then cured either under UV lights or with a special gel activator in case of non-UV cured gel nails.

Where acrylic nails are concerned, they are basically made from a mixture of liquid acrylic and polymer and once the mixture is applied it usually gets set within minutes. Both the gel and acrylic nails help in lengthening your short nails, making them stronger and obviously adding sheen to your nails.

Though both make your nails look glorious and stunning, there are quite a few basic differences in both of them and it can get difficult to pin point which one is better, because both have their pros as well as cons. Gel nails are usually considered to look more natural over acrylic and they even involve less damage to the natural nails. Also, one cannot ignore the fact that gel nails do not emit fumes or odors as acrylics do and gels naturally have a more clear, shiny and non-yellowish finish. But the clean and shiny appearance doesn’t come cheap and it is any day more expensive than acrylics. Since gel nails need to be usually cured under UV light, they require more maintenance as well. When you want to remove them, the best way is to visit a nail salon and let a technician do the job. They exactly know how to get it removed without damaging the cuticle or the natural nail.

Acrylic on the other hand is more affordable and is widely available too. A lot of nail salons also use acrylic nails since the nails need to be roughened a bit followed by the coating of the chemicals onto the nails. With acrylic you can choose from a variety of designs such as white tips, French tips and even nail repairs. Acrylic nails are also long lasting and durable as is the case with gel nails. A great polish can further accentuate the look of your acrylic nail. However, when using acrylic nails, you need to be careful of getting them removed from a technician since improper removal can result in damaging your real nails. Also, in comparison to gel nails, acrylic nails do not look as real or shining and if not done properly they can also look quite fake at times. But irrespective of whether you choose gel or acrylic, you are guaranteed to come out of the nail salon with a set of beautiful and stunning nails.

Take advantage of our great Gel-Nails offers and deals every week and update yourself with what’s the latest and the most popular in the gel nails trend.
Even though the demand for artificial nails is growing, ladies are well aware of the pros and cons of having acrylic nails. Before you decide to go for the acrylic effect, look at the alternatives available within acrylic fake nails. You can either choose the expensive and longer lasting Ethyl Methacrylate (EMA) or you can go for the cheaper yet less resilient Methyl Methacrylate (MMA). Buying higher quality nails is essential so that the natural growth of your finger nails remain unaffected.

Those people who have weak or brittle nails usually go in for acrylic nail jobs. Acrylic or plastic nails are also recommended for people with natural nails that bleed easily. By adding a layer of acrylic nails to the natural nail, the latter acts as a base and keeps the nail strong. Another reason is that people who are unable to grow their nails can make them appear longer artificially. A nail stylist is the best person to go to for expert advice on acrylic nails. They also give you the pros and cons of the cheaper artificial nails to the more expensive ones. Discuss how long you want your nails to be. Getting nail art over the acrylic nail is another way of adding glamor to your finger tips.

Weddings and special occasions have increased the use of plastic nails along with nail art and even a French manicure. On these special occasions women go all out to get their nails done by professionals as they want to look their finest. However on applying acrylic nails, regular maintenance is essential so that it doesn’t affect the real nails of the finger. Although many people use it regularly, visit a manicurist if your acrylic nails need repair or maintenance.

If you’re job involves a lot of typing, apply hard plastic nails so that it doesn’t chip the nail. If you’re someone who doesn’t have time to go for regular nail maintenance and are absolutely certain that you can manage your finger nails, you should go for softer acrylic nails. With no well known side effects as such, acrylic nails are considered safe and harmless provided you care for them well.

However there are two sides to every coin and the same goes for acrylic nails as well. Acrylic nail art although try to pass off as real nails are artificial. They will most definitely give an artificial look unless done really well. A professional manicurist can make the acrylic nail come across as real as possible. If you’re bored with your acrylic nails or want to change them do not pull them as you will most likely damage the real finger nail as well. Patience is important in removing an acrylic nail and by waiting patiently the chemicals will do their work perfectly.

Since the real nail acts as a base, the artificial nail will be stuck firmly to the nail. When trying to remove the nail, avoid ripping it as it might pull out the real nail, making it a very painful experience. Also the link which connects the acrylic nail to the real nail is sometimes toxic and could damage the real nail. If you are someone who is keen on having her nails intact and in place, you can look at other alternatives like nail polish or getting regular manicures instead of acrylic nails.

Back with more news for you today. It’s amazing how much good information there is on this stuff out there if you know where to look. Three in particular that I found really valuable were…

At this point I usually clear off the table of anything I won't need such as the acrylic kit and I lay out everything I need for decorations such as specific nail polishes and jewels. I put paper towel down before I sort loose jewels so …

Artificial nails are also called acrylic nails because these aren’t naturally grown on the top of our fingers. If you cannot grow your own fingernails, you can resort to using acrylic nails and enjoy good looking nails for special occasions or even daily wear. These nails give unnatural length to short and brittle nails. They are glued on to your natural nails and can give a stunning effect as they come in a variety of designs and patterns.

How acrylic nails are made: Often, women wear these acrylic nails to prevent themselves from biting their nails. With acrylic nails this is possible since they are strong, impossible to chew and are created by mixing a powder and a liquid called Ethyl Methacrylate (EMA). When mixed together, they form a thick mix that can be easily applied to the finger tips and color your natural nails.

Applying acrylic nails at a salon: These nails can be applied at home or at a salon, though it can be very time-consuming. Before you opt for this, speak to your friends or family for their opinions. Next, make a booking at the salon but not before you check that the salon has put up its licenses clearly for everyone to see; that it is a clean place; and that their staff washes their hands before starting work with you and that the ventilation is good. Expect to spend $20-$100, depending on the technique used, kind of application, training and quality of polishing on the nails. You will have to go back to the salon every two weeks. Each session could last an hour or more.

Applying it at home: You will have to practice a lot at home before you can get anywhere near a professional’s expertise. Before you begin, check that you have these tools of the trade: a nail brush, a buffer, liquid and powder acrylic and acrylic clippers.

How to apply acrylic nails: Clean your nails, dry them, and push the cuticles back. Apply fitting tips where your natural nail ends. Next, mix the powder and liquid and drop a small bead of the mix on to the nail from the brush. Keep doing this until a natural curve appears. Now, trim your nails to the length you choose to have. If there is any excess powder or nail dust, brush it off now. You may choose to buff your nails now. Your acrylic nails are ready.

Caring for your nails: By caring for your nails, you can make them last longer and look better. If you take the best care of them, you will not have to replace them often, making investing in them cost-effective.

Taking them off: If you want to take off your acrylic nails, don’t resort to snapping them off because this can harm your natural nail that’s growing below it. Instead, have it removed by a specialist or soak your nails in acetone. To protect your cuticles and fingers, apply a coating of Vaseline, and then soak them in acetone for 30 minutes. After this, they will come off naturally.

Keep Your Hands Clean And Impress Other People

People are very particular with the way your hands look. For most people, this is the only way that they can tell if you are hygienic or not. If you think about it, seeing dirty nails is not pleasing at all. Nails which are kept short and clean are the best indicators that you take proper care of your hands. Because of this, women go on a monthly trip to their favourite nail spas and have a manicure done. This maintains the cleanliness and the neatness of every woman’s nails.

For people who are busy and cannot go to the nail spa, here is some good news for you. Manicures can be done right in your home. This saves you a lot of money and still be satisfied with your clean nails after. The procedure is actually simple. All that you have to do is to soak your clean nails–without nail polish–in a basin with moisturizing soap. Soak your hand for 10 minutes to soften the cuticle. After this, apply cuticle remover or cream on your fingers. Push the cuticle back with a pusher to remove it. Once this is done, you can now put on moisturizer or hand cream.

Nail polish is recommended but optional after a manicure. Even if it is as subtle as clear nail polish, it makes your nails look better. One thing that you have to keep in mind is that regular nail polish is very harmful for you. Chemicals such as toluene, formaldehyde and phthalates are used to make these. These organic solvents are very harmful since these can leech into our skin and harm us.

You might be thinking that it is the end of your nail vanity. Quite the contrary, there are a lot of alternatives to your conventional nail polish which are healthier and eco-friendly. Thanks to science and research, these better alternatives have been created. You can try out water-based nail polish minus all the organic solvents that are used for these. You can still have the most beautiful nails without the danger of using conventional polish.

Nail care is very important not only to impress the people who see our hands. Of course, to be confident about how your hands look, you need to feel it too. After your manicure, your hands will feel softer and smoother. A manicure can really be beneficial sine it keep your nails clean, stronger and smoother. It is easier
1000
to maintain your nails when you have regular trips to your nail spa.
