If this was to happen you would have to have your acrylic nails removed till it clears up. It is just something to think about.

When you visit a nail salon for the first time, take the time to ask questions. Watch how the nail techs talk with each other. If they speak another language and this bothers you, then that may not be where you want to get your nails done at. Also take into account the cost of having them done every two weeks including the cost of the first set.

Ideally it should come right off, however the process can be repeated if there are some traces left. Another way of removing the nails using acetones is to soak the hands in warm water for some time. Then soak them in acetone and the acrylic nails will then become soft and easily remove.

It is very important to remember that once the entire process is over, one should massage the hand with a good hand cream as the acetone can thoroughly dry the skin.

If you cannot grow your own fingernails, you can resort to using acrylic nails and enjoy good looking nails for special occasions or even daily wear. These nails give unnatural length to short and brittle nails. They are glued on to your natural nails and can give a stunning effect as they come in a variety of designs and patterns.

How acrylic nails are made: Often, women wear these acrylic nails to prevent themselves from biting their nails. With acrylic nails this is possible since they are strong, impossible to chew and are created by mixing a powder and a liquid called Ethyl Methacrylate (EMA). When mixed together, they form a thick mix that can be easily applied to the finger tips and color your natural nails.

People are very particular with the way your hands look. For most people, this is the only way that they can tell if you are hygienic or not. If you think about it, seeing dirty nails is not pleasing at all. Nails which are kept short and clean are the best indicators that you take proper care of your hands. Because of this, women go on a monthly trip to their favourite nail spas and have a manicure done. This maintains the cleanliness and the neatness of every woman’s nails.

For people who are busy and cannot go to the nail spa, here is some good news for you. Manicures can be done right in your home. This saves you a lot of money and still be satisfied with your clean nails after. The procedure is actually simple. All that you have to do is to soak your clean nails–without nail polish–in a basin with moisturizing soap. Soak your hand for 10 minutes to soften the cuticle. After this, apply cuticle remover or cream on your fingers. Push the cuticle back with a pusher to remove it. Once this is done, you can now put on moisturizer or hand cream.

Nail polish is recommended but optional after a manicure. Even if it is as subtle as clear nail polish, it makes your nails look better. One thing that you have to keep in mind is that regular nail polish is very harmful for you. Chemicals such as toluene, formaldehyde and phthalates are used to make these. These organic solvents are very harmful since these can leech into our skin and harm us.

I think Rina Raphael at TODAY explained Minx Nails very well: “Imagine metallic Lee Press-On Nails that can last roughly four weeks, but look more like grillz for your fingers.”

I had to dig around a bit to find out how much it costs to have Minx Nails shrink-wrapped to your fingertips, and The Frisky says it’s about $40. Although that’s not so expensive that an average woman would need a quick loan to pay for it, so far it’s been labeled a “celebrity trend.”

Minx Nails go mainstream

After today, though, Minx Nails will be pulling in a lot more business from the “common folk.” The Frisky says Beyonce, Solange, Eve, Rihanna and Mariah Carey have been spotted wearing Minx Nails, so it’s just a matter of time until their fans follow suit and pay top dollar for their own set.

But, will fans of Beyonce and Eve get Obama’s face emblazoned on their fingernails? My guess is yeah, probably.

How do Minx Nails work?

Minx Nails are not an alternative to acrylic nails, rather they go on top of them — or on top of your real fingernails. Minx Nails are only an alternative to nail polish. Hm, $40 for a month’s worth of “nail polish”? That might explain why, so far, it’s only a celebrity trend.

Still, I am sure well-to-do women will be willing to shell out the money to have custom-designed fingernail coatings. KMGB9.com describes Minx Nails as:

As I mentioned before, Minx Nails customers can also get customized designs, like Barack Obama’s face. I am sure that if you request a specific image rather than picking from the salon’s standard offerings it will cost extra. I am also pretty sure that most manicurists will be more than happy to accept your extra money in exchange for super-custom nail art.

Are Minx Nails worth the price?

Minx Nails reportedly have several benefits that make the procedure superior to regular na

il polish. The coatings never chip, so there’s no need to replace them until your nails grow out enough that it’s noticeable.

Also, there’s no waiting for Minx Nails to dry. They take longer to apply than nail polish, though, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Removing Minx Nails

Although several magazines proclaimed that Minx Nails will never, ever, peel, I have my doubts after reading about the removal process. Of course, it is “recommended” that you get Minx Nails removed at a salon by a technician.

However, to remove Minx Nails at home, all you need to is warm up the film with a hair dryer, then peel it off. So I suppose if you don’t want your Minx Nails to peel, you have to avoid heat around fingernails. If you use the oven a lot, live in a particularly warm climate or regularly sit in a sauna, I’d think twice before shelling out $40 for nail polish replacement.

Beautiful nails have been an obsession that can be traced back to the ancient Chinese. It has been said that the Mandarins (males & females) considered long nails to be a sign of wealth. If you had two-inch talons, that was a sign that there was no way you could be a common working laborer. These days anyone can have well cared for hands and nails without spending a mild fortune and still be able to show off your own personal touch of style.

Besides it doesn’t look all that natural and if you want nails that look best, they need to be the same shape as your nails are now. “Pink and White” will really look like yours only better! Your nail tip needs to be oval but just a little bit square. This looks more like your own natural nail shape. “Pink and White” are great for those who do not want to wear nail polish due to job or personal choice. Easy to care for, look amazing on all skin tones.

As with all types of acrylics, your own nail will be come softer. As long as you wear acrylics that point doesn’t matter. Remember this point also, your nail tech when using the drill on your nail base should never cause you pain! If they do, get a new nail tech! Having your nails done is not something that should be painful!

Another rare problem that could happen, you can get a fungal infection on the base of your nail. If you acrylic nails and they lift, you can get water trapped under the acrylic next to your nail. The water will turn green and can strain your nail. This is something that happens very rarely, if you have a good nail tech this it won’t happen. If this was to happen you would have to have your acrylic nails removed till it clears up. It is just something to think about.

When you visit a nail salon for the first time, take the time to ask questions. Watch how the nail techs talk with each other. If they speak another language and this bothers you, then that may not be where you want to get your nails done at. Also take into account the cost of having them done every two weeks including the cost of the first set.

Doing your nails or having your nails done for you, remember this point. Beautiful nails will never go out of style!
